Tony landed right next to the man himself, Bane. Bane was grumbling to one of his cohorts when Tony dropped in. Startled, Bane was unable to react.
” Lets have a little talk young sir, ” said Tony cockily.
” eh, ” Bane said taken aback. Then Bane sucked in a full breath of air revealing just how monstrously huge he was. Tony was not intimidated, however as he looked around the junkyard , he thought it looked cluttered like a painting with too many bright colors.
” Nice place you got here, its works wonders on the eyes,” Tony commented.
” Old man, if you don’t leave your going to have more than back problems, ” threatened Bane. Bane drew closer to Tony revealing a buzzards head. He had a bald head  with piercings  in all over; through his lip and nose , covering his eyes almost completely. Only after seeing this did Tony fully sense where he was. On a concrete plateau next to a pit of mud with rank smells like burning flesh. Tony knew that smell too well. Tony noticed a large crowd of Strangers spread around the junkyard.
” You came here for some’in or what?” inquired Bane.
Feeling some hesitation Tony fumbled for something to say. ” I came here to….take you down.”
” Ha ha ha, your funny old man. ” laughed Bane genuinely amused. ” I’m always up for a good tumble.” With that Bane turned about and bellowed “Fight in the pit!” Bane turned around and smiled revealing a row of filed teeth, sharpened to points. ” Come on then.” Bane dropped down to the side of the mud pit. Tony bewildered about how things were turning out, followed uneasily. The entirety of of the Strangers were gathered around chanting. Bane! Bane! Bane! Tony’s head was ringing from the chanting and Banes cackling laughter. ” OK OK let’s get on with this” screamed Bane gleefully.
Tony locked eyes with Bane. He knew there was only one way this would end. Bane leapt at Tony arms and fists extended. Tony strafed out of the way, but one leg slipped into the mud pit restricting his movement.  Tony pulled on his leg trying to loosen the mud’s grip. At the same time Bane was reading himself for another go. Bane ran hurling his body straight at Tony’s torso. A split second later Tony ripped his leg free and fell over causing Bane to go over him. Tony saw his chance, he ran over to where Bane lay and kicked him in the face. Bane responded by pulling Tony down to the ground and head butted him. Tony tried to get up only to be held down. Tony rolled to the side and threw a slimy glob of mud at Banes face. With a roar Bane wiped from his now bloodshot eyes.
” I will end this, ” declared Bane. With that he tackled Tony right into  the mud pit.  Tony felt something crack maybe a rib, or the nose. Tony didn’t have have enough feeling to know or even care exactly where it was. Tony swung his fists aimlessly striking as fast as he could. Bane was an immovable object, solid, tough, however Tony was like an unstoppable force. He was unable to give up. The fight dragged on with kicking, punching, kneeing, biting, and snarling. Bane walked out of the pit with a bloody face and the broke and beaten body of Tony.
” I….. have…. won,” announced Bane in the loudest voice he could muster. “But the old man fought well. He deserves one last request.”
Tony barely conscious could hardly believe his ears.
” I wish Gordon could go back to the way things were before you came.” muttered Tony in between coughs and wheezes.
” You want us to leave? ” inquired Bane.
” Yes.”
” Well, we can do that, there are plenty of other places to terrorize.”
” No, you have to stop all of this too. If you want action join the army, but don’t ruin other peoples lives just because you need a thrill! Trust me I wasn’t so different from you a long time ago.”
” Eh….you heard him boys were heading out,” Bane cried.
” What? ” yelled Franky from the crowd.
” come on you bums, this guys right we need a in this world. So let’s go find it!” Bane said as he walked away and out of the junkyard. One by one the Strangers did the same leaving Tony in peace. Tony’s only thoughts were : the city’s safe now. The city’s safe now.  The city’s safe now……..

Tony knew the best way to go to the source. He hit the bars and he stayed in the Salty Dog scoping the place out for a while. He heard some stuff about where the Strangers were going, but that didn’t matter now. Tony was about to leave when he saw a slimy looking fellow like a salamander taking a girl to the back alley. Tony followed checking to make sure that no one was watching him. The guy holding his hand against the wall. Tony grabbed him by the shoulder and pulled him back while nodding to the girl and growling ” get out of here.”
“Hey man what is this about?” said the greasy man.
After a long breath Tony replied “You got a name kid?”
” You gona* answer my question?” he said adjusting his black leather jacket.
” I ask the questions around here, punk. So what can I call you?”
” Franky .”
” Franky eh, nice name , I new a Franky once.”
” Oh, tha.”
” But he’s dead.”
“Right , well I don’t remember what you said you were here for.”
“Franky,” Tony edged closer to Franky. ” I ask the questions, remember!”
” Ask already then.”
” Where’s your boss?”
” Don’t ask me man , I don’t take direct orders from ‘him’,” Franky shifted uneasily. ” I mean its, ‘him’,” he said in a hushed voice.
” Come on you must of at least overheard where your HQ is, Franky. Don’t play dumb with me.”
” Hey even if I do tell you some’in, what are you gona do.”
” I’m going to put him down like the crazed animal he is.”
” He he, well in that case he hangs out by the junkyard.”
” It’s been doing business with you Franky,” Tony turned and walked away, ” I’ll make sure they get a nice and comfy cell for you.”
” Ya sure old man.”
Tony made a swift and silent voyage out of the club into the slightly illuminated streets. Tony knew where the junkyard was. Tony didn’t stop for anything, he went straight to the junkyard . As he got closer to the junkyard fewer streetlights were working and the streets were generally wore down. Tony had reached the junkyard or rather above it. There was a metal railing around the junkyard. As if simple metal bars could contain the filth that was within. Tony reaching the railing striped off his leather jacket revealing his black Gordon State shirt. Tony hoisted himself up and over the railing and pushed.

Tony walked home on a gloomy, rainy night. Tony was in a good mood, he had just left his old friend Joe’s home. He was dressed in blue jeans, a black t-shirt, and a brown leather jacket. Under the glow of the streetlight  you could have made out that he wore a big mustache, and a tuft of gray hair on the back of his bald head. His mood was darkening as he passed buildings sprayed with the mark of the Strangers. Tony could recall a time when the Strangers weren’t polluting the city. Tony couldn’t help but think about the Strangers as neared his home. How they ran rampant over his city; like a group of festering disease ridden rodents. Tony fumbled with his keychain, as he reached the doormat. Just then he heard sirens, wailing, blasting. Tony’s combat training kicked in. He froze then realizing what it was and relaxed . That is until he noticed that the sirens were getting closer . A fire truck , and a police car sped by. They were going in the direction that Tony came. Tony’s mind went to the worst possible conclusion and forced his body into a run.
That smell…….smoke. He pushed himself, running and wheezing as he grew closer to the sound and smell. Tony rounded a corner and then came to a full stop. Taking a break to breath , he gathered his senses. Down the street he saw flames. Big, glowing, flames. He knew it was Joe’s house, he knew that it was too late. Nevertheless he resumed his run towards the fire and charcoal like smoke. A free policeman told him to go home and that they would call him in the morning about everything.Tony wasn’t listening. Something had caught his eye. He nodded to the police officer and moved to see what it was. On the rooftop of that new kid in town. He saw figures standing there in dirty, sweatshirts and torn up pants. Strangers! Tony would know there look anywhere. Tony clenched his fist, letting his nails bite into his palm.
” officer!” Tony beckoned toward the cop.
” what is it Tony didn’t I tell you to go home?” replied the cop.
“Look there ,” Tony pointed to the spot where the Strangers had been. There was no one there. Damn this isn’t going to work, thought Tony.
“Theres no one there , you can go home,” the cop patted Tony on the shoulder, “Well catch who did it dont worry.”
Without another word Tony turned around with only one thing on his mind. Revenge.
