This monster was created by the boss monster method. You can find it at Angry DM. So it being a boss you get three stat blocks instead of the normal 1. There’s not really any lore so I’ll just say that Cthuoon is a brute who I see starting in the battle being very cocky with his fancy psychic powers. However as the battle goes on he starts using less and less mental powers as he goes into a bloody rage. Feel free to have Cthuoon run to another battle location inbetween forms and you could even through in a minion encounter or some such. Just remember that the PC’s can take a rest.

I love Psychic Backlash and Cool Down. The latter really gives PCs an impetus to stick close to Cthuoon, which is just where you want them!
