Galatea is a statue that comes to life, whether by a magic word or by a curse placed on  it, is really up to you. He/she stands about 12 feet tall and is sculpted out of marble and reinforced by magic.

The statue can be a depiction of the city’s leader an important god or a historic figure which could  be interesting if the townspeople don’t want the statue to be destroyed or even think its a miracle. Anyway have fun with the story options and the  monster.
